TNA Wrestling is making waves with the return of its iconic Genesis pay-per-view in 2025, but that’s not the only exciting development on the horizon. According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, TNA could be looking to go live more frequently, adding a new dynamic to their schedule in the upcoming year.
During his latest Q&A, Sapp discussed the possibility of TNA expanding its live broadcasts, explaining, “It’s been discussed. I think they’ll do it most commonly either before PPVs or right after PPVs when it makes sense.”
He added that the strategy would allow TNA to bring in talent a few days prior to a major pay-per-view event, which would make it easier to air live “go-home” shows, and then follow up with post-PPV episodes. This approach could help build momentum and capitalize on the hype from their pay-per-views.
Sapp also noted that after a live show, TNA could easily film several episodes over a few days to cover the next month of programming. “They can bring talent in for Thursday-Friday-Saturday tapings and film the next month of shows if they wanted,” he elaborated. This hybrid approach would allow TNA to maintain the consistency of their pre-taped format while adding the energy and excitement that comes with live broadcasts.
The potential move to more live shows is yet another sign of TNA’s resurgence as the company prepares for 2025. With the Genesis pay-per-view set for January 19, 2025, and a live episode of iMPACT! following on January 23, TNA seems poised to deliver an action-packed start to the new year.
Fans have been clamoring for more live content from TNA, and this could be a game-changer for the promotion as they continue to reestablish themselves in the pro wrestling world. The return of Genesis and the potential for more live episodes could make for a thrilling year ahead for the company and its audience.
