Orange Cassidy Lays Down AEW World Title Challenge To Jon Moxley During 10/30 AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley shocked the world when he won the AEW World Title from Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream 2024, and then he promptly suffocated Danielson with a plastic bag. This week on Dynamite, the show started off with the Paradigm Shift receiving a huge challenge from a worthy opponent.

Since his AEW World Title win, Jon Moxley admitted that he hates where AEW is heading. He also spouted off a promo about how he will destroy AEW for the greater good, whatever that means. Now, we have even more to the story.

Orange Cassidy came out to start the show this week, and he spoke about the events that closed out last week’s show. He said that Moxley doesn’t need AEW, but he does. OC said that he wouldn’t exist without AEW, and neither would “all of this.”

Then Cassidy challenged Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title. He made it very clear that he wants to win the AEW World Title, and he is very confident about this. Freshly Squeezed also closed out the segment by reminding fans that he still doesn’t need a catchphrase.

Fans were behind Orange Cassidy as he rolled out of the ring. Although Moxley did not answer to this challenge, and we have no idea when the match may happen, the idea of Moxley losing the title might actually happen.

It was reported that Jon Moxley is currently dealing with an injury situation. That is not a good sign for the AEW World Champion, especially since he hasn’t even defended his title yet. Although AEW is still “a toddler” the way Mox sees it, he had to address fans this week.
