Maria Kanellis has faced a tough week following complications from surgery. After undergoing a retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy to remove a mass on her adrenal gland on October 24, Maria’s road to recovery took an unexpected turn.

In an emotional post on Instagram, Maria gave fans the update they had been hoping for: she’s finally home after an extended hospital stay. “I made it HOME!!! What a crazy week,” she wrote, expressing gratitude for her support system throughout the ordeal.

“Thank GOD for my family!! Thank GOD for my church @crossbridge.church!!! Thank you for the amazing team at @rushuniversity!!! Thank you for my children’s school for giving the kiddos extra care!!! Thank you @tonyrkhan for the amazing flowers and the @aew staff for the support during this time!!! Thank you to The Undisputed Kingdom!! Thank you to everyone that reached out!!! Feeling very blessed and grateful!!!” Maria shared.

Her heartfelt message comes after a difficult few days, during which Maria was re-admitted to the hospital. On October 27, she initially shared the worsening of severe symptoms, including pain in her neck, spine, and head, which left her unable to stand without pain and nausea. “Back to the hospital. Pain in my neck, spine, and head has gotten substantially worse,” she posted on Twitter/X.

Maria later explained that she spent the night in the emergency room, receiving a combination of medications—including morphine and anti-nausea treatment—in an attempt to manage the pain. Despite the efforts, the medical team made the decision to admit her for further care. “I’m having trouble walking and standing because of the pain. I miss my kids and I am ready to be home but here I am,” she wrote.

Fortunately, Maria’s latest update confirms she has returned home and is surrounded by loved ones. Her Instagram post reflected her optimism as she awaits further medical results: “Biopsy and Genetic Testing should be back in a few more days…”

Fans and colleagues in the wrestling community have continued to send their well-wishes, praising Maria for her strength and openness throughout the ordeal.
