Kenny Omega has been sidelined for almost a year after undergoing emergency surgery for diverticulitis and there is no indication he will compete in the ring anytime soon. With that said, Omega has now been confirmed for an appearance at NJPW Power Struggle.
Kenny Omega made his first television appearance since December on the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, where The Elite destroyed him and he was written off AEW television since then but he kept up with his in-ring training no matter what.
NJPW announced that Kenny Omega will make a special appearance at the Power Struggle event on November 4th. This comes after he recently reunited with Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW’s offices, which got fans excited.
Power Struggle, held at EDION Arena Osaka, will have many big matches, including the main event where Zack Sabre Jr. faces Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. This event is important as it leads up to NJPW’s biggest shows at the Tokyo Dome on January 4 and 5.
“Power Struggle in EDION Arena Osaka is set to be loaded enough with championship action up and down a card headlined by Zack Sabre Jr. and Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Fans from all over the world will be watching an event that’s sure to see ground laid on the road to the Tokyo Dome January 4 & 5.
That includes one special guest who plans on seeing the action up close and personal. Kenny Omega will be at EDION Arena Osaka for a special guest appearance! After a reunion at NJPW’s offices with Hiroshi Tanahashi created buzz across the wrestling world, what will come from this special appearance?”
This marks Omega’s first NJPW appearance since New Year Dash 2023, so we’ll have to see what Omega will have planned for the November 4th event, as fans are incredibly excited about his appearance.
