AEW is set to deliver an electrifying Fright Night edition of Dynamite tonight from Cleveland, Ohio, promising fans a night of action-packed wrestling with a Halloween twist. With high stakes and special appearances, the event looks to be a can’t-miss show.
Among the matches scheduled for the night, fans will see Swerve Strickland take on Shelton Benjamin, while AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks defend their titles against Private Party in a match with serious consequences—if Private Party loses, they must disband. Additionally, Adam Cole makes his in-ring return to face Buddy Matthews, and Kris Statlander will go head-to-head with Kamille. Appearances by Orange Cassidy and Hangman Page are also on the card, adding more excitement to the lineup.
AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley spoke with CantonRep.com ahead of the event, promising fans in his home state of Ohio an unforgettable night. Moxley expressed his connection to Ohio, calling it a special opportunity to perform there:
“I always have extra energy when I am back in Ohio. It’s like Superman flying close to the sun. It recharges me. This is the ooze I crawled out of and evolved from, and I have something extra special for the people in attendance Wednesday. This isn’t me at 18 years old getting in my beater truck and driving down to the flea market for a match. I’m bringing the big show back to Ohio, and I feel a weight on my shoulders to give them something memorable.”
Moxley also delivered a heartfelt message to Ohio residents, underscoring the responsibility he feels when performing for his home crowd:
“You are the people I serve, and I have a promise. I have something special for you. I speak in absolute truths. I’m not a used car salesman. There is no buy one, get one free special. You are taking off work. You might be getting a babysitter. You’re paying for tickets and parking. Those are significant investments to me, and I feel that weight on my shoulders.”
He continued by guaranteeing fans an emotional experience, hinting at the unexpected: “I demand you feel something when you leave this event. It might be shock. It might be horror. You might be uncomfortable. I will create a memorable experience for you, though.”
With Moxley’s passion and promises, the stakes in Cleveland are higher than ever. The Fright Night edition of Dynamite is shaping up to be an unforgettable night for AEW fans—especially those lucky enough to be in attendance.
