WWE is more than open to pushing the envelope for feuds when it becomes necessary. This was evident during CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s Hell in a Cell match, where both competitors bled. Even during NXT this week, Rhea Ripley was busted open and now the internal reaction to the same has been revealed.

During the October 29 episode, Rhea Ripley appeared on the show to support Zaria and other NXT Superstars. She looked confident and encouraged the babyface team for their upcoming match next week, seeming comfortable as a veteran visiting her old NXT home.

But just before the main event started, the camera showed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez backstage, walking away with baseball bats. Rhea Ripley was then seen lying next to her car, clearly hurt. The former WWE Women’s Champion had a cut on her head, with blood pouring out and this ended up shocking fans in a big way as they hadn’t seen Ripley bloodied like this.

According to Corey Brennan of Fightful, there were concerns within NXT about the amount of blood shown during Rhea Ripley’s segment in the parking lot. However, it was approved by “a higher power” in the brand. This approval came from Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Lee Fitting, or a CW executive.

“There was some concern internally in NXT about the amount of blood shown during Rhea Ripley’s segment in the parking lot, but it was green lit by “a higher power” on the brand. Further clarification is that the green light came from HBK, Triple H, Lee Fitting or a CW executive. Hence, higher power.”

Liv Morgan has already reacted to the brutal assault she inflicted on Rhea Ripley. Nonetheless, it’s quite clear that Morgan and The Eradicator’s feud has been taken to the next level and perhaps fans might get to see Morgan don a crimson mask in the future as well.
