Vince McMahon, the former Chairman and CEO of WWE, is known as one of the most controversial figures in the pro wrestling world. He has worked with many top names in the business, and that includes Hulk Hogan, with who he always shared a special relationship. That being said, Hogan has now revealed an incredibly bizarre nickname he had for Vince McMahon’s private jet.
Hulk Hogan’s iconic career has made a significant impact on the world of professional wrestling and he has traveled all over the world throughout his legendary career, so he knows a thing or two about flying in planes. However, Hogan has a very peculiar sense of humor that many people may find offensive.
While speaking on the PBD Podcast, Hulk Hogan revealed that he nicknamed Vince McMahon’s private jet “the slave ship” because of how much they traveled on it. McMahon would bring people along, often with his family, and they’d constantly fly from one place to another—going to Monday Night Raw, then back to Connecticut, and off again.
The WWE Hall of Famer made fun of the nonstop schedule, saying it was like being stuck on the plane without a break. McMahon usually had his daughter Stephanie McMahon, son Shane, and his son-in-law Triple H with him, so it was like they were always on the move, working together as a family.
“Yeah, he was, and he had his family with him. He had this monster—I called it ‘the slave ship’—because, oh, just fly with me to Monday Night Raw. He wouldn’t let you off the plane! Come back to Connecticut, go here with me, go there. I used to tease him; I’d call it the ‘slave ship’ because, you know, he had his family on there. He had his daughter with him, Shane was on the plane a lot, and his son-in-law was there too. So, he was traveling with his whole family, and it was like, why go home? Let’s just keep working!”
Regarding Vince McMahon’s private jet, he always had a very bizarre rule for passengers on his jet as well, since no one was allowed to sleep on his jet unless he was sleeping. Nonetheless, some fans might find Hulk Hogan’s nickname for McMahon’s private jet to be very offensive and it might not come as a surprise in that case.
