Hulk Hogan’s iconic career most definitely altered the course of professional wrestling in many ways. The WWE Hall of Famer is known to make a lot of controversial remarks from time to time and a lot of tall claims as well. In fact, Hogan has now admitted that he never voted in his life before Donald Trump.
Hulk Hogan is a massive supporter of Donald Trump and this goes back several years. That is why it was no surprise he made an appearance at the Republican National Convention, and he has been constantly supporting Trump throughout his campaign ahead of the U.S. Presidential Election.
While speaking on the PBD podcast, Hulk Hogan was asked if he always voted. Hogan admitted that the first time he ever voted in his life was for Donald Trump and no one before that. Hulk Hogan explained that he didn’t originally think it mattered much who was in office, believing the country wasn’t in bad shape.
However, in 2016, he started paying attention to the news and noticed discrepancies between what was reported and what he later found to be true. He began researching on his own and discovered that while the internet has plenty of misleading information, it also offered a lot of truth if one looked carefully.
Hogan’s personal knowledge of Trump and understanding of his “Make America Great Again” vision—which he believes should be about making America greater than ever—motivated him to vote. For the first time, he felt his vote made a real difference, and he still holds that belief today.
“No, the first time I ever voted was for Trump. First time I ever voted was for Trump. I just didn’t think we were in that bad of shape. I didn’t think it made a difference who was in office, you know? But in 2016, I started noticing what was going on back then. I saw the news stories coming out, and then later, I’d find out what was really happening. I did my own research, and all of a sudden, with the internet, you can find out a lot of truth. There’s a lot of misleading stuff on there too, but nothing was adding up for me.
Knowing this man personally and knowing what he wanted, with that whole theme of ‘Make America Great Again’—which, honestly, I think should be ‘Make America Greater Than It’s Ever Been’—I just couldn’t sit by anymore. I had to vote. I thought it made a huge difference back then, and I still believe that now.”
Hulk Hogan also sparked controversy recently when he endorsed Trump while talking about traditional gender roles. Nonetheless, he did make sure to support Trump during a recent rally, even if he was having a difficult time tearing off his shirt. Nonetheless, we’ll have to wait and see if Hogan’s endorsement will end up helping Donald Trump win the elections next month.
