Former NXT Champion Ethan Page hasn’t had the best of times lately, as he failed to regain his NXT Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc 2024 and then got involved in a brawl with Bully Ray on NXT this week. Following the conclusion of the show, Page sent a message to Ray.

As seen during the October 29th episode of NXT, Bully Ray gave Williams some honest advice. He explained that no one helped him during the Halloween Havoc attack because, as champion, he was a target. Thankful for Bully’s support, Williams suggested they team up for a match against Ridge Holland and Ethan Page.

At first, Bully said no, explaining, “It’s not about me. I’m not here to take anyone’s spot.” But later, when Holland and Page entered the ring and mocked Bully for refusing, with Holland saying, “Bully made the smart move by staying out,” things took an unexpected turn.

Bully stormed out, exchanged insults with Holland, and punched him. Page attacked Bully from behind, but Williams quickly ran in to help. Fired up, Bully grabbed a microphone and declared, “I’m in.” Therefore, Ray and Williams will face off against Page and Holland in a tag team match on the November 6th edition of NXT.

Following the conclusion of NXT, Ethan Page took to Twitter and uploaded a video, where he sent a scathing message to Bully Ray. Page stated that he doesn’t believe Bully is truly one of the greatest tag team wrestlers. While people like Trick Williams might think Bully is a legend, Page pointed out that Bully mostly succeeded with just one partner. Page emphasized that he has won championships all over the world with many different partners, including some who aren’t well-known. He made it clear that he plans to show everyone that he is a better tag team specialist than Bully ever was or will be.

“Bubba Ray, you could say you’re the greatest tag team wrestler of all time, hell Trick Williams can call you the greatest tag team wrestler of all time. You were you’re the greatest tag team wrestler of all time with one guy, one partner. You consider yourself a journalist, you have a radio show, you like to talk about wrestling. Look me up, pal. I have won championships across the globe with not just one partner but many partners, a bunch of people you never even heard of, but they’ve held gold because of me. So you know, this is a message for you Bubba. You’re not the best, I’m about to prove to you that I’m a better tag team specialist than you ever will be, were, was, doesn’t matter.”

We will have to wait and see whether Ethan Page and Ridge Holland will be able to defeat Trick Williams and Bully Ray during next week’s episode of NXT, as fans are undoubtedly excited for the tag team match.
