Jon Moxley shocked fans at WrestleDream 2024 by winning the AEW World Title from Bryan Danielson and then suffocating him with a plastic bag. This week on Dynamite, the show opened with Moxley facing a new challenge.

Since his title win, Moxley expressed his disdain for AEW’s current direction and vowed to destroy the company for what he called the “greater good.” This week, Orange Cassidy addressed Moxley’s actions, saying AEW is essential for him, while Moxley doesn’t need it.

Cassidy then challenged Moxley for the AEW World Title, confident in his ability to win. He ended by reminding fans he still doesn’t need a catchphrase. Although Moxley did not respond, fans are now speculating whether Moxley could lose the title.

Jon Moxley took the ring at the end of the first hour of the show, and he addressed Orange Cassidy. Moxley made it clear that he is the one who challenged OC when he broke Chuck Taylor’s neck.

Moxley said that Orange Cassidy said he’s not a leader, but that’s not the case. Moxley said that “it’s fine” to have a match with Orange Cassidy, whenever he wants to have the match. He doesn’t care whether it’s at Full Gear, or even that night in Cleveland.

Jon Moxley made it clear that they will not fight on the mountain, because they will battle in the valley. Then Moxley put Orange Cassidy to another test as the ordered the BCC to turn on Wheeler Yuta.

The BCC pinned Yuta to the ground, and they teased breaking his neck with a chair, fully prepared to sacrifice his stablemate. Then Orange Cassidy ran down to stop them. This was followed by the Dark Order running down to join the fray.

The BCC was about to break Orange Cassidy’s neck in a chair, Darby Allin lowered himself from the ceiling to fight them off. This was chaos as Top Flight and Lio Rush ran down to join the fight as well. Daniel Garcia and Private Party ran down next to join the situation, and then the Young Bucks made their way out to start their match.

It was later confirmed that the two will battle at Full Gear on November 22.
