WWE advertised Zaria’s NXT debut, and many people thought it would happen at Halloween Havoc, but it actually went down a week prior during the October 22 episode of NXT. Then she was around for Halloween Havoc, but Zaria’s first match went down tonight.
Zaria was set for her in-ring debut already during this week’s NXT. The fallout of Halloween Havoc was also a nightmare for one member of the NXT women’s roster, who was picked to face the dangerous Australian.
Brinley Reece was the victim for Zaria’s first opponent. Although this is also an honor, it was a guaranteed enhancement talent gig. All eyes were on Zaria as she made her way to the ring.
Zaria started with a shoulder block and then she no-sold a punch from Reece, as she only smiled and struck back. The NXT newcomer picked Brinley up with one arm and slammed her down. Reece did the trick where she twisted her arm to make it look disconnected and Zaria popped it back in. That was a nice touch.
Then Zaria delivered a backbreaker before stretching Brinley Reece’s back with a submission. Zaria avoided a clothesline and nailed a German Suplex and a spear before hitting an F5 for the win. This was quite a win for Zaria, but she’s only getting started. After the match was over, the Fatal Influence crew showed up to talk some smack.
Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade made their way to the ring next as they surrounded her. Then Kelani Jordan jumped in to stand by her side. Giulia and Stephanie Vaqeur appeared, but that was only 4 vs 5. Suddenly, Jordynne Grace appeared to even up the score.
All of the women brawled in a 5 vs 5 format, and Zaria capped things off with an F5. Then Zaria and Jordynne Grace threw Perez into the heels at ringside. This was an incredible segment, and a very interesting way to cap off Zaria’s debut. The timing of Jordynne Grace’s recent TNA Knockouts Title loss at Bound for Glory is not lost on us, either.
What’s your take on Jordynne Grace’s return to WWE NXT? Are you glad she is back? Sound off in the comments below.
