Former WWE Star’s Name Floated Internally in Multiple AEW Pitches

Mustafa Ali made waves last year when he bid farewell to WWE, opting to pursue his career elsewhere. Since then, he’s risen to prominence by competing all over the world. Interestingly enough, it appears pitches were made to bring in Mustafa Ali to AEW as well.

The former WWE Superstar won the TNA X-Division Championship earlier this year and it ended up elevating him to a whole new level. Mustafa Ali then parted ways with TNA Wrestling back in August this year and since then, he has remained a free agent.

Fightful Select reports that Mustafa Ali has been discussed in behind-the-scenes pitches for AEW. Although Ali is a free agent and has received multiple pitches for joining AEW, he hasn’t officially signed with the company yet.

We will have to wait and see whether AEW will end up signing Mustafa Ali somewhere down the line as many fans feel he will be a perfect fit for the company, considering AEW’s emphasis on in-ring quality and high-flying action.
