Cody Rhodes has a great way of connecting with his fans, which helped him become the Undisputed WWE Champion. Following RAW this week, he showed his appreciation by giving a special gift to a fan who had recently beaten cancer, celebrating their strength and courage.
Cody Rhodes once again showed why he’s considered the face of WWE after the October 28th episode of WWE RAW. After the show went off the air, Cody Rhodes squared off against Carmelo Hayes in singles competition and effortlessly defeated the former NXT Champion.
After the match, Cody Rhodes spotted a fan holding a sign that read, “I Finished My Cancer Story to See Cody.” Moved by the message, Rhodes invited the fan into the ring, where he presented them with his weight belt and shared a heartfelt hug.
“I see a sign over here and it says, “I Finished My Cancer Story to See Cody.” My friend, come into this ring and take it from me, let’s roll.”
Cody Rhodes always makes time for his fans, which is a big reason he’s one of WWE’s most popular babyfaces. Regardless, Rhodes is now more focused on his feud with GUNTHER as he is set to face off against The Ring General at Crown Jewel on November 2nd, so we’ll have to see how he will fare at the Premium Live Event.
