Before his breakthrough portrayal of Drax in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ Batista faced significant financial struggles. However, his success as Drax propelled his career forward, leading to notable roles in films like “Blade Runner 2049” and “Dune.” Batista’s incredible range of movies over the years has made him one of the most sought-after actors in the industry right now.
Scott Roxborough from The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Batista, Channing Tatum, Steven Yeun, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux, and Riley Keough have been cast in the movie “Alpha Gang,” joining Cate Blanchett. This film is a comedy about an alien invasion, directed by the Zellner Brothers. It tells the story of a group of aliens who pretend to be a 1950s biker gang in order to take over Earth. However, their plan gets messed up by something very human: emotions.
Roxborough also mentioned that the movie is being shown to international buyers at the American Film Market in Las Vegas. mk2 Films is in charge of international sales, and CAA Media Finance is handling distribution rights in North America.
Batista has also made it clear he wants to join the DC Universe as his acting career continues to flourish. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether ”Alpha Gang” will end up becoming a massive hit with fans and critics alike, whenever it gets released as there is no doubt Batista will give it his all to nail his role.
