WWE brought NXT Halloween Havoc to the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania just last night. The same venue played host for the October 28 WWE RAW the next night, which was also the go-home episode before WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. This will be a tough night to keep any viewers, with the Yankees playing the Dodgers in the third game of the World Series. Either way, WWE still brought quite a show. There were a lot of attractions for the card, including the finals for a long-awaited tag team title tournament.

The WWE World Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament Final took place tonight, featuring New Day vs. War Raiders vs. Latino World Order. With the War Raiders making their return under their original name, this final match was a perfect opportunity for them to re-establish themselves. The high-stakes bout provided all three teams a chance to make a strong statement in their pursuit of the championship.

The Judgment Day are strong champions, but they need #1 contenders. This match was a long time coming for all three teams, and each team would love to make history as the new champions for the red team.

This match received a considerable amount of time during the second hour, as it spanned a couple commercial breaks. Each team had one man in the match, creating a triple threat where Superstars could only tag out their own partners.

The War Raiders displayed their strength, but it was tough to get any momentum with two faster teams to contend with. Xavier Woods also showed off his new-found angst as he was very aggressive during the parts where he had control. Then he tagged out to Kofi for some quick offense to take down both of their competitors and then nail them with a double Boom drop. Then Kofi hit an SOS, but he couldn’t get a pin, so he got on top, and he took everyone out who was standing at ringside with a Trust Fall drop.

They went to a second commercial break, without picture-in-picture. The LWO were also highlighted in this match, but Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio’s fast offense couldn’t seal the deal in the end.

The match ended with Chad Gable popping up out of nowhere to grab Rey Mysterio. He latched on an Ankle Lock as the War Raiders hit a springboard suplex/clothesline combo on Kofi Kingston to seal the deal. This match was perfectly choreographed, and it ended with Ivar and Erik raising their hands in victory.

How do you think the outcome of the WWE World Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament Final will impact the landscape of the tag team division moving forward, especially with The War Raiders back in the mix and Crown Jewel on the horizon? Let us know in the comments.
