Bronson Reed has been making waves on WWE Raw, taking his performances to new heights with standout moments during feuds against top stars like Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman.
During an interview with Fightful, Reed discussed a key moment in his rise—the night he hit six Tsunami splashes on Seth Rollins during a segment on Monday Night Raw.
“It’s one of those things where in the moment you start to realize, oh, okay, this is more than just a regular segment of TV,” Reed said. “I’ve attacked people before on TV, I’ve done similar things, but I could just tell by the way the crowd was reacting, and just the reactions I was getting in the arena, that when I got backstage it was going to be a similar thing.”
Reed described how the significance of the moment hit him backstage, with none other than Triple H praising his performance.
“I remember going through Gorilla and Hunter saying, like, ‘That moment is going to live forever,’ like, you’re sort of set.” Reed compared it to another iconic wrestling moment. “I like to sort of liken it to Austin’s 3:16 line. Hopefully the six Tsunamis will be something that now has changed the way I’m perceived and sets me on a bigger trajectory.”
Reed’s performance not only left a lasting impression on fans but also signaled his growing prominence within WWE’s roster.
During the interview, Reed also discussed other topics, including his thoughts on GUNTHER, the influence of the Natural Disasters tag team, and the significance of winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy.
