Samantha Irvin Confirms When She Put In Her Notice With WWE

WWE has seen several changes over the past few months, but Samantha Irvin’s exit caught a lot of people off guard. After her surprising departure from the company, it seems that there is still no shortage of commentary from the Internet Wrestling Community.

In the message to announce her WWE departure, Samantha Irvin wrote, “WWE Universe, my time has come to an end as your Monday Night Raw Ring Announcer. I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art—I have a lifetime more to share.”

Samantha Irvin shocked WWE fans when she departed from the company and Lilian Garcia took her spot once again. This changing of the guard for WWE’s ring announcer rubbed some fans the wrong way. There are also a few false narratives going around, and Irvin had a chance to address one of them. Addressing critics is something Irvin has previously claimed that WWE prohibited her and Ricochet from doing.

One fan fired off on Twitter to say, “I think people should just stop putting down @SamanthaTheBomb , she did her best, I don’t agree with how she walked away but let it go n be adults, say something good not insults!”

Samantha Irvin then replied on Twitter to make it clear that she didn’t just walk out on WWE. In fact, they knew that she was leaving for months.

“I gave my notice to them in August.”

Samantha Irvin has since said that she didn’t like announcing for WWE. She did clarify that comment, and that sparked a lot of discussion on the matter as well. Irvin said that she wanted a bigger on-screen role in WWE, like manager or General Manager, but WWE kept her in the ring announcer role. That wasn’t where she wanted to be, despite it not being about the fame, so she made a decision to leave.

Ricochet tried to make it clear that Samantha Irvin isn’t going to AEW, but some fans aren’t buying it. We will have to see what happens in the future, but don’t expect Irvin to accept any ring announcer job for Tony Khan’s company.
