Dylan Postl, best known to wrestling fans as Hornswoggle, has officially signed a WWE Nostalgia contract, marking a new chapter in his career. Postl, who co-owns ACW Wisconsin, shared the news during the promotion’s October 11 show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, giving fans an emotional moment they won’t soon forget.

In the latest episode of his Going Postl podcast, Postl reflected on what the contract means to him, comparing the feeling to when WWE first hired him back in 2006. Postl humorously acknowledged the distinction between his “Nostalgia deal” and the typical WWE Legends contract, joking about the naming difference.

“Of course, it’s a Nostalgia one when I get it,” Postl laughed. “This was my world. It was almost better than the first time I got hired. It feels good to be recognized.”

Postl also recalled how the first person he called after signing the contract was his father, thanking him for instilling the wisdom of never burning bridges.

“You can be very mad about some things, but just don’t burn bridges,” Postl recalled his father saying. “So many guys have burned bridges and don’t get opportunities. I was lucky to live my dream for 10 years, and now I get to continue being part of that in some way.”

One of the highlights of Postl’s journey was announcing the contract at ACW Wisconsin’s event, an idea he had carefully planned with his team.

“I messaged Matt Stein, Josh Binder, and Josh Weimer and asked if I could break the news at the ACW show. I never want the shows to be self-serving, but this was special. It was emotional—seeing Landon and Shane Hills, my trainer from 20 years ago, there in the crowd.”

Postl expressed relief that the news didn’t leak before the event, allowing the announcement to be a personal and meaningful moment for him and the fans.

“God, I’m so glad it didn’t leak because it was just a special moment. The whole night, I was saying ‘Nostalgia, nostalgia,’ but I still called it ‘legends.’”

While the specifics of the Nostalgia contract remain uncertain, Postl shared that it allows WWE to use his likeness for various media, such as video games, trading cards, and action figures. However, he’s tempering expectations.

“My mindset is they’re going to do nothing. That way, I can only be happily surprised,” Postl said.

Postl joins a list of wrestling legends who have recently announced Nostalgia or Legends contracts, including Diamond Dallas Page, Jesse Ventura, Jacqueline Moore, Rob Van Dam, and Armando Alejandro Estrada.
