Fallon Henley has faced a long and arduous road during her career in NXT and it culminated in her becoming the NXT Women’s North American Champion at Halloween Havoc. Following her win, she shared an emotional moment with Shawn Michaels.
WWE hosted this year’s Halloween Havoc at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, bringing plenty of excitement. One highlight of the night was the NXT Women’s North American Championship Spinner’s Choice Match. Reigning champion Kelani Jordan faced a tough lineup, with Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, and Jazmyn Nyx as challengers. During the Halloween Havoc kickoff, Pure Fusion Collective announced that the match would be a gauntlet style, meaning Jordan would have to face each opponent back-to-back.
Kelani Jordan managed to defeat two of PFC’s members in quick succession, but by the time she reached Fallon Henley, she was clearly worn out. Despite putting up a strong fight, Kelani ultimately fell to Henley, who delivered a powerful knee strike to secure the win. This marked a major title shift, as Kelani, the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion, dropped the title to Fallon Henley but Henley didn’t get to celebrate much as Zaria came out and destroyed the Pure Fusion Collective.
Shawn Michaels took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself meeting Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jzmyn Nyx following Henley’s title win. Henley was clearly emotional as Michaels embraced her, and he even wiped her tears as he congratulated her.
“Big night for Fatal Influence, even bigger night for @fallon_wwe! Congratulations to your new NXT Women’s North American Champion! #halloweenhavoc”
We will have to wait and see how Fallon Henley will be booked as the NXT Women’s North American Champion in the coming weeks, as it’s clear WWE already has plans for her to feud with Zaria.
