Maria Kanellis is facing unexpected health setbacks after undergoing surgery for an adrenal gland mass on October 24. The former WWE and ROH star had initially undergone a retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy and appeared to be on the road to recovery. However, just days later, she found herself back in the hospital due to worsening symptoms.

On October 27, Maria took to Twitter/X to update fans, revealing the return of severe pain. “Back to the hospital. Pain in my neck, spine, and head has gotten substantially worse. I can’t stand up straight without pain and nausea. I just wanted to be done with issues. Trying to stay positive,” she wrote, sharing the emotional toll of her post-surgery complications.

Unfortunately, the situation took another turn. Early on October 28, Maria shared a new update, confirming she was re-admitted to the hospital after spending the night in the emergency room.

“Spent the night in the emergency room receiving different cocktails of drugs including anti-nausea, morphine, caffeine/ibuprofen, magnesium, etc trying to make me comfortable. Then, they re-admitted me this morning because they could not control the pain, at 4:00am,” Maria explained. “I’m having trouble walking and standing because of the pain. I miss my kids and I am ready to be home but here I am.”
