Former NXT Champion Ethan Page didn’t hold back after WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley made a surprise appearance at NXT Halloween Havoc 2024, interfering in the aftermath of Page’s match.
In the event’s main event Devil’s Playground Match, Trick Williams defeated Ethan Page to retain the NXT Championship. But things didn’t end there.
Post-match, Ridge Holland ambushed Williams, and Ethan Page joined in the attack. However, Bubba Ray Dudley made a shocking save, rushing to the ring to fend off the attackers and help Williams close out the show.
The interference followed Ridge Holland interrupting Dudley multiple times throughout the night—first during the pre-show and later during a segment with Busted Open Radio co-host David LeGreca, where Bubba was sharing his highlights of the event.
After the broadcast ended, Ethan Page took to Twitter/X to vent his frustrations about Bubba Ray’s interference, writing: “I’ve only got one thing to say after tonight: D’VON!!!! … GET THIS F*ER OUTTA NXT”
Page’s comment referenced Bubba’s former tag partner, D-Von Dudley, hinting at the Dudleys’ iconic catchphrase. This jab follows a playful buildup between the two sides, as Trick Williams and D-Von Dudley recently teamed up for a music video aimed at Ethan Page before Halloween Havoc.
It’s unclear how this confrontation will develop, but with tensions rising, there’s speculation that a tag team match might be added to the November 6 episode of NXT. If confirmed, it could see Trick Williams and Bubba Ray Dudley take on Ethan Page and Ridge Holland in the legendary ECW Arena.
