Dominik Mysterio Reveals Snoop Dogg Blew Him Off During First-Time Meetup

Dominik Mysterio has been part of one of the most engaging WWE storylines with Liv Morgan for a while now but he still holds a grudge against his father, Rey Mysterio. In fact, Snoop Dogg blew him off for their first-time meetup.

Snoop Dogg is one of the most beloved rappers of all time and he truly has a deep love for pro wrestling in general. He has a longstanding history and solid relationship with WWE as he ended up saving WrestleMania 39 last year as well after Shane McMahon got injured during his segment with The Miz.

While speaking on the Bootleg Kev podcast, Dominik Mysterio revealed that Snoop Dogg blew him off during their first meeting, and he holds his father Rey Mysterio responsible for that missed opportunity. He remembered being about 13 or 14 years old when his dad asked if he wanted to go meet Snoop. Dominik stated that Rey Mysterio was a “terrible dad” for how it turned out.

When they got there, Snoop was on his bus, and Rey told Dominik he couldn’t go inside. Dominik asked why, but his dad said he had to wait outside. Dominik waited for about 10 or 15 minutes until Rey came back and said they would have to see Snoop another time, as Snoop Dogg blew Mysterio off. Dominik was very disappointed because he felt this was his only chance to meet Snoop Dogg, who is at every WrestleMania, and he felt his dad took that chance away from him.

“I remember—and it still gets me very upset. I was maybe 13 or 14 years old. My dad was like, ‘Hey, do you want to go meet Snoop?’ The f****** terrible dad that he is. So we go to meet Snoop. Snoop’s on his bus, and my dad says, ‘Hey, you can’t come in.’ I asked him, ‘Why? Why not?’ And he just says, ‘You’re going to have to wait here.’ So he goes in.

I stood out there for maybe 10 or 15 minutes, just waiting for him. Then he finally walks out and goes, ‘We’re going to have to see him another time.’ And I mean—I think you can understand why. That was my one chance. He’s at every WrestleMania, and that was my time to meet him, and he took that away from me.”

This is one of the many reasons why Dominik Mysterio has animosity towards his father and why he feels Rey Mysterio doesn’t even deserve his WWE Hall of Fame induction. While Dominik ended up meeting Snoop Dogg later on, his first meeting simply didn’t pan out the way he expected and fans understand why Dominik blames his father for the same.
