WWE brought this year’s Halloween Havoc to the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and they certainly delivered. The NXT brand kept up its strong reputation by showcasing a night packed with unforgettable contests, and the NXT Women’s North American Title was quite a match.

One of the evening’s highlights was the NXT Women’s North American Championship Spinner’s Choice Match, where reigning champion Kelani Jordan faced off against Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, or Jazmyn Nyx. This unique match type added an exciting twist, because she Kelani didn’t know which member of Fatal Influence she would be facing.

During the Halloween Havoc kickoff show, PFC announced that their dealer’s choice match would be a gauntlet match. This means that Kelani needed to beat Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne in order to retain her title. That was not a match she prepared for at all.

It didn’t take Kelani Jordan long to take down Jazmyn Nyx. Then it was Jacy Jayne’s chance to join the fray, and she had a much longer bout with the NXT Women’s North American Champion. Then she defeated Jayne in clean fashion, only to eat a cheap shot with a rolling Encore Elbow as Fallon Henley ran down to take Kelani on next.

The odds were against Kelani Jordan in a big way, but she was able to take down 2/3 of PFC in quick fashion. That left Fallon Henley and Jordan with a bit more time to have a proper match, but Kelani still sold the moves like she was exhausted from the short time she was in the ring already.

Fans chanted “This Is Awesome” as Fallon Henley and Kelani Jordan, two former partners, faced off in the final match of this gauntlet. Lani was able to stay on top of things, as she pushed her adrenaline to the max to overcome a fresher Fallon, but Henley was waiting to catch her with a slip-up as she plowed her face into the mat and take control.

Fallon Henley soon found herself taking one of Kelani’s signature split-legged moonsaults, but Jazmyn Nyx distracted her. Then Kelani got to the top rope again, and she was distracted by Jacy Jayne just long enough for Fallon Henley to get her knees up on the dive.

Then Fallon Henley delivered a big knee to Kelani Jordan for the win. This was a big title change, as Kelani Jordan was the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion. Now the title has a new holder, and it belongs to Fatal Influence.

After the match was over, Fallon Henley grabbed the microphone and started to cut a promo where she said, “Statement Made.” Then the lights went out and Zaria made her second entrance of the night.

This time, she showed up right in the middle of the ring, where she took out the heel faction. This was quite a statement made by Zaria, as the Australian powerhouse has set her signs on the NXT Women’s North American Title.
