Samantha Irvin Clarifies Comments About Not Liking Announcer Role in WWE After Severe Backlash

Samantha Irvin’s sudden exit from WWE just before this week’s Monday Night RAW surprised the wrestling community, as her departure was unexpected. She also mentioned that she never enjoyed announcing in WWE, which sparked some backlash. Due to this, Irvin decided to clarify her comments to address the reaction.

Samantha Irvin recently admitted that she never liked announcing in WWE and that she wanted to do more in the company, such as managing or becoming the General Manager for a brand.

“I don’t like announcing. I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action, but I don’t love being an announcer.”

She sees herself as an actress and performer, not a full-time announcer. Irvin added that even though she loved wrestling and put her heart into her role, she didn’t see herself as a career announcer and didn’t want that label forever. After getting a lot of backlash and assumptions about her future plans, she decided to clear up any misunderstandings and made it clear she nuked that bridge as some people felt “ring announcer” was on her birth certificate.

Another fan claimed that she hated working in WWE and sent her support after her departure. Samantha Irvin noted that she loved working at WWE and made it clear she had no hatred towards her former occupation.
