WWE’s NXT Halloween Havoc went down at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania this year, and they had a loaded card all ready. The night was filled with gimmick matches, and fans knew to expect an ambulance in at least one of them.
One of the standout matches of the night was the brutal Ambulance Match between Ridge Holland and Andre Chase. This no-holds-barred showdown had fans on the edge of their seats as both competitors fought to incapacitate their opponent and load them into an ambulance to secure victory.
Ridge Holland tried to destroy Chase U from within. He eventually turned on the stable that accepted him as one of their own. This all came to a head in Hersey in a brutal matchup, one where physicality was the only way to win.
This match followed Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer’s win over Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Ridge wore a golden mask to the ring as the entrance was filled with smoke. Of course, Andre Chase received a hero’s welcome as he checked out the ambulance in his Freddy Krueger inspired Chase U shirt.
Andre Chase got things started on his side with a dive to the outside, but it didn’t take long for Ridge Holland to take control, thanks to his power advantage. Then they started battling on the entrance ramp as the two teased getting the ambulance involved. That included Ridge lawn darting Chase into the side of the ambulance.
Ridge Holland pulled a stretcher out of the ambulance as they continued. He did get Andre Chase in the ambulance, but he wasn’t able to get the door closed. Chase returned fire by spraying him with a fire extinguisher, and that helped him take control of the match for a bit, until he ate a German Suplex to the floor.
Holland got a kendo stick involved once they returned to the ring. Then Ridge sat Chase in a chair and started to assault him with some brutal shots. They each grabbed kendo sticks after that, and they clashed them together like swords for a bit until Chase got the upperhand, and he started applying some punishment to Holland. The moment Ridge turned things around, he took the mat away from the ringside area, only to have Andre nail him with a back body drop onto the exposed cement floor.
Chase followed that up by running the stretcher into Ridge a few times before he started cleaning off the announce table. Then they got on the table and Chase nailed a DDT on the table, but it didn’t break. Fans chanted “one more time,” but Chase simply moved Holland to the stretcher. Then Ridge turned things around, and he carted Chase to the ambulance on the stretcher instead.
Fans popped in a big way when Ridge picked up a pumpkin, because fans were chanting “We Want Pumpkins.” Then Chase took the pumpkin, and he nailed Ridge with it before he nailed a dive off the stretcher. Andre threw Ridge in the ambulance in an attempt to end the match. Suddenly, Holland was able to turn things around and shove Andre Chase into the ambulance before he closed the door to secure the win.
