In January, Cora Jade suffered a torn ACL at a WWE NXT live event and she immediately underwent surgery for the same. Fans felt she would be gone for a very long time but Jade ended up returning during the October 1 edition of NXT. With that said, it appears Jade admitted she felt a sense of being forgotten during her injury absence.

The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion had been gone from NXT television for almost nine months before her return earlier this month, where she helped Roxanne Perez retain her NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia. Her comeback was a huge success and she immediately became involved in a major angle.

While speaking to The Takedown, Cora Jade was asked about her tweet where she called out fans for forgetting about her. Jade admitted that she had a sense of being forgotten during her injury hiatus, noting that while she understands there’s some truth to what she tweets, she often feels like she’s being overlooked as the division moves forward without her. Despite these feelings, she also sees it as motivation.

Jade emphasized that the women’s division is currently at its best, with more talented women than ever and significant airtime for female wrestlers in segments and matches. Cora Jade acknowledged that it was somewhat discouraging to sit back and not be involved, but she finds motivation in the fact that she is returning to the strongest women’s division in any wrestling company.

“I feel like there’s a little bit of truth to everything I say in tweets, you know? But obviously, selfishly, you can only sit back and look and be like, ‘Damn, I feel like I’m getting forgotten about or passed over,’ and the division is kind of moving on without me. At the same time, you can look at that as motivation. The women’s division is the best it’s ever been; we’ve never had so many talented women or so much time for women on shows, in segments, and in matches. It’s literally the best time to be a woman wrestler. So yes, it was a little defeating to sit back and not be a part of it, but it was also motivating to realize that I’m coming back to the best women’s division in the entire world, in any company.”

Cora Jade will be teaming up with Roxanne Perez as they will be squaring off against Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 27th. Therefore, it’s clear as day that WWE has faith in Jade and she hasn’t been forgotten one bit.
