Willow Nightingale is temporarily out of action following a concussion she sustained during the CMLL International Women’s Grand Prix 2024 on October 25. As a result, she will miss the Saturday and Sunday events scheduled at Arena Coliseo and Arena Mexico, where she was originally set to compete.
CMLL shared the news via an official statement: “We regret to inform our loyal fans that AEW superstar, Willow Nightingale, will not be able to participate in Sabado de Arena Coliseo and Domingo Familiar in Arena Mexico as planned due to a concussion suffered during her participation in the Women’s Grand Prix. In line with the concussion protocols established for both CMLL and AEW, Willow must abstain from both dates to ensure her well-being and full recovery.”
The statement also confirmed the replacements for Willow’s matches. CMLL World Champion Zeuxis will fill in at Arena Coliseo, while CMLL Women’s Universal Champion Persephone will take her place at Arena Mexico.
Willow competed in the Torneo Cibernetico at the Women’s Grand Prix, where the injury occurred. There is currently no timeline for her return to the ring, as her recovery will follow concussion protocols to prioritize her health.
Fans and fellow wrestlers have expressed their support for Willow during this time. Ringside News wishes her a speedy and full recovery.
