Since reconnecting with its roots through the Hard to Kill pay-per-view in January, TNA has undergone significant changes as it seeks to expand. TNA’s next event is Bound for Glory and the show is finally upon us and fans can’t wait to see what will happen at the event.
The tag team division in TNA is heating up. The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) regained the World Tag Team Titles from ABC at Victory Road. Meanwhile, the legendary Hardys returned earlier this year aiming to win the gold again. After a chaotic first match on iMPACT! where The System interfered, Director of Authority Santino Marella announced a Full Metal Mayhem match for Bound For Glory.
At Bound For Glory 2022, Jordynne Grace and Masha Slamovich had what many consider the best Knockouts match in TNA history. Grace not only kept her title that night but also ended Masha’s undefeated streak. Now, two years later, they are set for a rematch. Grace has had an impressive year as Knockouts World Champion, while Slamovich has distanced herself from The System and is gaining momentum. Tensions flared recently when Grace found out she was Masha’s target.
Mike Santana is determined to take down The System, especially after they cost him a shot at the World Championship. His main target is Moose, the leader of The System. Recently, Moose surrounded himself with security while Santana was attacked by Edwards, Myers, and JDC. However, Santino Marella has intervened to ensure that Moose will face Santana one-on-one at Bound For Glory, with no escape. Fans are obviously excited about this match for good reason.
The notorious Monsters Ball match is back, with PCO defending both the Digital Media and International Wrestling Championships against Matt Cardona. This hardcore match at Bound For Glory promises to be a violent spectacle.
Spitfire stunned everyone by reclaiming the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles at Victory Road and now, Rosemary and Wendy Choo from WWE NXT are aiming for the gold. With these two dangerous forces causing chaos in TNA and WWE NXT, fans wonder who will pick up the win at Bound for Glory.
For the first time since January, Vikingo, the longest-reigning AAA Mega Champion, returns to TNA to challenge Mike Bailey for the X-Division Championship. After Bailey’s successful defense against Leon Slater, Vikingo aims to reclaim his position at the top. Fans can expect a breathtaking, high-flying match that will have them at the edge of their seats.
Since joining TNA and winning the TNA World Championship, Nic Nemeth has faced and defeated all challengers. His next opponent is Joe Hendry, who gained fame for his music and viral moments. Hendry earned his title shot by beating Frankie Kazarian in a #1 Contender’s match on iMPACT!. To add to the excitement, Kazarian will serve as the Special Guest Referee, so we’ll have to see who will ultimately come out the champion at Bound for Glory.
The Call Your Shot Gauntlet is back, featuring TNA’s top stars competing for the chance to challenge for any championship at any time. Recently on iMPACT!, A.J. Francis secured the #20 spot, while Frankie Kazarian must start the match at #1. In another match, Ash and Heather By Elegance will face Xia Brookside and Brinley Reece in tag team action. Josh Alexander will also square off against Steve Maclin in a highly personal match. Rhino and co-founder Bob Ryder will be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame as well.
Tonight’s TNA Bound for Glory event promises to deliver high drama, incredible matchups, and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With matches like Nic Nemeth vs. Joe Hendry, Mike Bailey vs. Vikingo and more, it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss. Be sure to tune in live and follow along with Ringside News for full play-by-play coverage of the event.
TNA Bound for Glory will air live from the Wayne State University Fieldhouse in Detroit, MI on October 26th, with the pre-show starting at 7 PM ET and the main show will begin at 8 PM ET and fans can watch it on the TNA+ streaming platform.
