TNA Wrestling has been riding a wave of growing attention lately, and Bound for Glory 2024 lived up to the hype, offering fans an action-packed night. The event took place at the Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit, Michigan, where excitement filled the arena as legendary tag teams and new contenders battled for supremacy.

In one of the night’s marquee matches, The Hardys had a chance to further solidify their iconic status in professional wrestling. They faced off in a Full Metal Mayhem match for the TNA Tag Team Championship, competing against both The System and ABC. The Hardys’ pursuit of another title added an extra layer of anticipation to an already historic showdown.

The entire ring was decorated with weapons. Everything, including the ring, was painted with Jeff Hardy’s crazy art. Everything, as in tables, ladders, chairs, the ring mat–everything. It was quite an abstract display to close out the night.

These teams got off to a quick start, as ABC nailed dives to the outside. Then the Hardys beat The System around the arena with painted chair shots. Fans got a very close view of the match as they continued.

Brian Myers was stuck on a table (that wasn’t painted) and then Ace Austin climbed to the top of the stands and did a splash as Chris Bey held him still. It didn’t take long until Matt Hardy nailed a double leg drop on Eddie Edwards through one of the painted tables at ringside.

Chris Bey ate a Plot Twist from the Hardys in the middle of the ring, and then they started to climb toward the titles. Suddenly, Ace Austin pushed them over on the ladder. Jeff took some double team moves from ABC after that and then Matt received some punishment before Jeff nailed them with a couple ladder shots. This was followed by Jeff setting up the ladder in the ring, but then he took a double suplex from ABC onto the ladder.

Ace Austin and Chris Bey were unable to get the titles, and they crashed and burned. Jeff Hardy kept extending his construction ladder even longer, to the point where it bridged the whole ring. Matt Hardy climbed to the top of the ladder and Chris Bey met him. Then Jeff Hardy and Ace Austin walked across the ladder platform with chairs, and they took out their opponents, and then they started fighting on their own.

There was a disruption in the feed for this match, but they continued in the ring. Eventually, Jeff Hardy went for a Swanton Bomb through a table at ringside, leaving Matt alone to climb in the ring, but Ace Austin knocked him off the ladder. Then Alisha Edwards came in the ring and pushed Austin off. She took off her neckbrace and then taunted the crowd before Matt Hardy nailed her with a Twist of Fate.

Matt Hardy didn’t get much of a chance to climb to the titles before Eddie Edwards knocked him off with a kendo stick shot or two. Then Jeff and Matt launched chairs at Edwards before they double power bombed him through a pair of painted tables at ringside.

All that was left at that point was for the Hardys to climb up and take the tag team titles. The Detroit fans cheered on as The Hardys won the TNA Tag Team Titles to close out the big event.
