Santino Marella is a name any fan of WWE during the late 2000s to early 2010s knows all too well. While he isn’t a part of WWE anymore, Marella has been part of TNA for quite a while and is a mainstay there. Interestingly enough, he recently underwent stem cell therapy in preparation for his in-ring return.
Santino Marella has been part of the TNA family for the past couple of years, where he is currently Director of Authority and makes hard but fair decisions for matches. Fans were also happy to see him and his daughter Arianna Grace have a moment during TNA’s Victory Road event as well.
Marella took to his Instagram and revealed that he went to Cancun for stem cell therapy recently. Marella underwent a series of treatments aimed at improving his health and recovery. His procedures included intra-discal injections in his cervical and lumbar spine, along with stem cell injections in both knees, his right shoulder, and his right bicep.
Additionally, Marella received 100 million stem cells intravenously, which were targeted to specific areas using shock wave therapy to create intentional inflammation. He also spent time in a hyperbaric chamber, which oxygenates the body to enhance the effectiveness of the stem cells. Although he couldn’t capture photos in the operating room, he’s especially excited to see the results from his spinal injections as he prepares for his in-ring return.
”My recent trip to @rejuvstem Cancun included intra-discal injections in the cervical and lumbar area, stem cell injections in both my knees, my right shoulder, and my right bicep. Not to mention 100,000,000 stem cells interveinously, directed to the correct body parts via intentional inflammation aka shock wave therapy. This hyperbaric chamber was intense too! Oxygenating the body increases the effectiveness of the stem cells. I couldn’t take any pics in the OR for my spinal injections but those are the results I’m looking forward to the most! #health #tuneup #recovery #performance #qualityoflife”
We will have to wait and see when Santino Marella will make his return to in-ring action, as it’s quite clear he is doing everything necessary to be healthy enough to compete again at the moment.
