Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, was released from WWE in September 2023, which definitely shocked many fans. However, he has since thrived in the business after his release and even became the TNA World Champion. With that said, some believe he should be in the WWE Hall of Fame and Nemeth has now addressed the same.

After concluding a quiet yet impactful 20-year tenure with WWE, Nemeth quickly made waves in the wrestling world in 2024. He joined TNA Wrestling and wasted no time becoming a major name there, but many fans still remember how much he was able to contribute during his time in WWE.

While speaking on Busted Open, Nic Nemeth’s co-host Dave LaGreca mentioned how he and other fans want Nemeth to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Nemeth admitted that thoughts of the Hall of Fame don’t occupy his mind as much as other aspects of his WWE career.

Nemeth acknowledged that while it’s interesting to consider, he often takes his accomplishments for granted. Nemeth reflected on his tendency to prioritize helping others over his own interests, suggesting he should have been more self-focused at times. He expressed his deep love for the wrestling business, noting his challenges as a performer.

Standing just under 6 feet tall and weighing barely 200 pounds, he felt he lacked the backing that many other wrestlers had, especially since he didn’t come from a major independent promotion or have friends in high places. He mentioned that, apart from the support of Pat Patterson, who wasn’t always around, he often faced challenges, including being booked to lose in situations that the decision-makers found amusing.

“It really isn’t something I think about. But it’s interesting to talk about when you bring it up. I’m like ‘Oh, you know what? I take a lot of things for granted that…I’m almost always helping somebody else or giving a little bit too much. I should’ve been more selfish.’ But…I just love the business so much…And someone like me, who is barely 6’0 tall, barely 200 lbs, does not have a friend in the meetings, did not come from Ring of Honor, didn’t come from the independents, didn’t have anybody rooting for me behind the scenes, except for Pat Patterson. And he wasn’t around all the time. And even then, when Pat Patterson would pitch for me, they would go out of their way to have me lose [if] they thought it was funny.”

While Nic Nemeth is certainly busy being the World Champion in TNA, he didn’t rule out making an appearance on WWE television in the future as part of TNA’s collaboration with WWE. Nonetheless, only time will tell if the former Dolph Ziggler will get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, as many feel he more than deserves it.
