Montez Ford of The Street Profits is reaching a boiling point in his WWE career. In an interview with The Daily Star, Ford opened up about the mounting frustrations he’s been dealing with, from constant run-ins with the Bloodline to missed opportunities at the Tag Team Championships. After years of setbacks, Ford hinted that a change in his approach may be necessary.

“I feel like my confidence is at an all-time high,” Ford said. I’m the only one, consecutively, that has been dealing with the Bloodline and every variation of the Bloodline, for the last four years. I’ve been the one doing it. I’ve been the one trying to fight off this disease. Me, Dawks, and occasionally Kevin Owens.”

The relentless interference from the Bloodline has Ford questioning how long he can keep battling. “You seen what happened to Kevin Owens recently—he’s a little frustrated. I feel like I’m on the verge of becoming the same way. How many times do I have to take down another variant of the Bloodline?”

Ford reflected on a recent ladder match where, despite a stellar performance, the Street Profits came up short in their quest for the Tag Team Championships—and not just because of the Bloodline

“Not only was the Bloodline in the way, but now DIY is in the way. We were pairing up with them, helping them… I know we’re both going after the Tag Team Championships, but you seem to be in the way of what we’re trying to accomplish.”

His frustration is compounded by feeling that his efforts to help others aren’t being reciprocated. “It feels like the kindness is being taken for weakness in a lot of ways.”

Ford hinted that the time for change is near. “There needs to be another shift. There has to be,” he said, suggesting that the Street Profits may need a new mindset to overcome the obstacles in their way. With rising tensions, both with DIY and the Bloodline, Ford’s patience seems to be running thin.
