Hulk Hogan’s iconic career has made a significant impact on the world of professional wrestling. Outside of the ring, Hogan is often seen mingling with other celebrities and now it appears he has claimed that he turned down offers to have dinner and possibly hook up with Cher and Madonna.

While speaking to the PBD Podcast, Hulk Hogan claims he once turned down invitations to meet up with Cher and Madonna. Reflecting on his experience with celebrity culture, he recalls a surreal moment at the Twin Towers when he was attending Vince’s birthday party with his wife. A cop approached him, tapped him on the shoulder, and said Cher had sent her limo downstairs, inviting him to dinner.

Hogan was surprised, initially dismissing the idea as a misunderstanding until the cop clarified it was, in fact, Cher, the famous singer. Hogan found it strange that she assumed he would simply get in the car and join her. When asked if he accepted the invitation, Hogan laughed, saying he did not, noting that he was with his wife and wouldn’t have gone anyway.

“The thing that really got me with the whole celebrity thing was when I was sitting at the Twin Towers one day with my wife at Vince’s birthday party. This cop comes up, taps me on the shoulder, and I said, ‘Yes?’ So, now I’m sitting with my wife, right? And the guy goes, ‘Oh, Cher sent her limo for you—it’s downstairs. She wants you to come over and have dinner with her.”

“I’m like, ‘Cher? What are you talking about?’ And he says, ‘No, the Cher, the singer!’ I didn’t know what to make of it. I said, ‘Get out of here, what are you talking about?’ But you know, it was kind of weird because she just thought she could send a car, and I’d jump in and go running over there. No, no, Brother, come on. I was with my wife—I wouldn’t do that anyway.”

Hogan also remembered another encounter with Madonna. Around the time she released her S&M book, she hosted a party in New York City, sending a car to bring him over from his performance at Madison Square Garden. Again, he declined the invitation, as he was with his wife that night and had no interest in attending. Reflecting on these moments, Hogan realized how his wrestling persona had created unexpected appeal and connections in the celebrity world.

“Then there was another time when Madonna put out that S&M book—I can’t remember what they called it. She had a party in New York City, and I was at the Garden that night. She sent a car to pick me up to come to her party. And once again, I was with my wife, so I’m not doing that stuff. But yeah, those things catch you off guard, and that’s when you kind of realize that the character crosses over into that world.”

Hulk Hogan even recently claimed that the cancelled Chris Hemsworth biopic would have won an Oscar. Of course, Hulkster has been known to be a notorious liar over the years, so fans will likely take what he said with a grain of salt.
