Braun Strowman has found himself at the center of controversy after sharing a hunting update on Instagram, which drew heavy backlash from fans.
While The Monster Among Monsters is currently sidelined due to a groin injury, he has been keeping fans updated on his activities—this time by proudly posting about hunting a buck on his property.
In his post, Strowman expressed pride in his hunting success, explaining that the buck he killed would provide organic meals for his family over the coming months. He highlighted the care he took in making a quick, humane shot with his crossbow.
“All the hard work I put in this year on my property paid off tonight. Was blessed to be able to harvest this beautiful buck. This will feed me and my family many organic, healthy meals through the next few months. Made a great shot with my @ravincrossbows at 33 yards, and he only went 43 yards after he was hit. Makes me very happy to know it was quick and humane.”
Despite his efforts to frame the hunt as responsible and humane, many fans were outraged by the post. Some criticized Strowman for sharing the photo of the dead animal, while others condemned the act of hunting altogether.
One furious fan lashed out at Strowman, calling him a “murderer” and expressing deep resentment toward him:
“Humane? Humane? How the hell is killing a poor defenseless animal, who was going about its life, perfectly happy, then next second it’s dead! YOU MURDERED THAT POOR ANIMAL! I used to like you, but now I despise you and if I ever saw you I’d give you the same treatment as you gave that poor animal!”
Another fan took issue with the photo Strowman posted, even though they acknowledged that hunting for food is understandable:
“I eat meat and can appreciate this buck was hunted for food. But I’ll just never understand why someone is cool with taking or posting a photo with a literal carcass. It’s a weird vibe. It’s one thing to kill for food, but to take a photo with its lifeless body is just strange.”
Strowman responded directly to one fan who was disappointed in him, defending his decision by claiming the buck had been eating his yard:
“Wasn’t innocent—it’s been eating my yard.”
Another fan pointed out the legal implications of hunting in other parts of the world:
“If you had done this in INDIA, you would have been arrested.”
While this isn’t the first time Strowman has shared hunting photos on social media, the backlash seems to have caught him off guard this time. With mixed reactions flooding his comments, it’s unclear whether Strowman will continue posting hunting-related content in the future.
In the meantime, Strowman has also returned to the gym to prepare for his in-ring comeback, hinting that he’s already focused on his return to WWE.
