Bianca Belair has made her mark in WWE history by holding the longest Women’s Championship reign. Her selection as one of the top draft picks in 2024 showed her star power and significance within the company and the industry and it appears she wants to make history at WrestleMania as well.
One of her notable achievements was headlining Night One of WrestleMania 37, where she would go on to defeat Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a heartfelt moment.
In a recent appearance on Good Karma Wrestling, Belair talked about her aspirations for the women’s division. She emphasized the need for more opportunities for female wrestlers, hoping to be part of high-profile matches that don’t necessarily revolve around championships. She expressed her ambition to compete in the main event of Night Two, viewing it as a significant milestone that would elevate her status in the industry.
“I’ve accomplished a lot so quickly. I’ve main-evented WrestleMania Night One, I would love to main event WrestleMania Night Two because I feel like that’s a whole other status type of thing. I would love to be part of a women’s match that doesn’t even have a title.”
Belair pointed out that the men’s division often has great storylines without needing a title, and she believes the women’s division should have the same chance. She imagines a future WrestleMania where both women’s titles and tag team titles are defended, along with a strong women’s match that focuses on storytelling instead of championships. Belair is confident that the women’s roster has a lot of talent and just needs more chances to show what they can do.
“I would love to get to a WrestleMania where both women’s titles are defended, the tag team titles are defended, but we also have a women’s match on the card that, the storyline’s just so great that we don’t necessarily have to have a title. I feel like the men do it all the time, and I feel like it would show how much the women’s roster has evolved because that’s how much talent that we have. We just need more matches. We have so many women.”
That’s not all as the EST of WWE also aims to make history at next year’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Nonetheless, only time will tell whether Belair will end up competing in the main event of WrestleMania Night Two one day, as fans feel she more than deserves it.
