WWE places a strong emphasis on tradition and aims to maintain momentum during crucial times. With the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event this year, it seems that the plans for the event are still not finalized.

Saturday Night’s Main Event, a show that once filled the time slot of Saturday Night Live 29 times, hasn’t been on the air since brief revivals in 2006 and 2008. To revive this iconic program, WWE has struck a new deal with NBC, planning to air four prime-time specials each year.

The big return of Saturday Night’s Main Event is set for December 14 at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY. It will air at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and be simulcast on Peacock. WWE is making sure fans have an exciting experience at the event already.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Saturday Night’s Main Event will feature Cody Rhodes facing Kevin Owens and GUNTHER taking on Damian Priest. However, these matches are currently planned but not yet finalized.

In the meantime, Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER are set to square off against each other at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event on November 2nd. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see who will triumph in this match first before fans can think about their matches for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
