WWE SmackDown Results (10/25/2024):

The show opens up with a shot of the handlers of the WWE Crown Jewel Championship case shown exiting an elevator, then walking backstage as Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcomes us. Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and WWE World Heavyweight Champion “The Ring General” GUNTHER were also shown entering the building. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin), #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and “The Viper” Randy Orton are also shown arriving at the arena. Orton is then shown stopping at the Gorilla Position on the way to the ring to talk to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Levesque then gave Orton a negative response and motions for him to go to the ring. Orton then throws up his hands and makes his way down to the ring as he is being introduced by Alicia Taylor.

Randy Orton starts off by saying he’s been doing everything he can to get his hands on Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel, but Owens is off limits for some reason. Orton then says since Nick Aldis told him last week that he couldn’t face Owens at Crown Jewel as it was above his pay grade, he wants to talk to Triple H about it and claims he’s protecting Owens from him. Orton then calls Triple H down to the ring and Triple H makes his way down to the ring. Triple H says while he would rather have not done this in public, he disputes Orton’s claims that he’s protecting Owens. Triple H then tells Orton that he will not face Owens at Crown Jewel, but Orton insists that Triple H is protecting Owens. Triple H then tells Orton that he’s actually trying to protect him rather than Owens and says he’s known both him and Owens for a long time. Triple H then says Owens has never had a friend in business because he’s all about the business and money, but for the first time ever, he let his guard down and trusted Orton and Cody Rhodes. Triple H then says while he’s not sure why that’s the case, Owens liked and trusted them. Triple H then says Orton just came back from an 18 month long recovery from injury. Orton then says he didn’t ask Paul Levesque or the COO of a multi-billion dollar company to come down to the ring, but rather The Game. Orton then says if Triple H was in his shoes, he wouldn’t let things slide and would handle business in the middle of the ring. Orton then demands a match against Owens at Crown Jewel once again and Triple H finally agrees, but warns Orton to protect himself at all times. Triple H then drops the mic and makes his exit.

Hayes then sends Andrade crashing into the barricade spine first and sends him back in the ring, but Andrade delivers some stomps on Hayes. Hayes then looks to fly off the ropes, but Andrade pushes him to the outside and looks to fly. Knight then almost bumps into Andrade, but Andrade flies over Knight and the top rope to land on Hayes on the outside. Hayes then hits a back elbow on Andrade. Andrade then responds with a Spanish Fly off the ropes before hitting a meteora in the corner and going for a pin. Hayes then kicks out, but sends Andrade crashing into Knight in the process as he makes the three count. Hayes then rolls up Andrade, but Knight doesn’t see the fall. Hayes then gets in Knight’s face, then looks to hit a superkick on Andrade but accidentally hits it on Knight instead. Andrade then hits The Three Amigos on Hayes, but Hayes sends him crashing into the mat and goes for a pin. Knight then pulls Hayes out of the ring and sends him crashing onto the announce desk, then hits a BFT on Andrade in the ring and hits another one on Hayes. Knight then rings the bell himself.

The Singles Match ends in a No Contest due to outside interference from WWE United States Champion “The Mega Star” LA Knight!

After the match, Knight grabs a mic and says to hell with game seven. Knight then says there are losers in the ring and declares himself the winner of game seven.

We then get video footage from earlier in the day of Tiffany Stratton telling Nia Jax that she is back and she is happy to do whatever she needed. Jax then talks about Naomi being a thorn in her side. Stratton then volunteers to take care of her, but Jax sings the praises of Candice LeRae for pinning Bayley last week. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell then shows up. LeRae then tells Jax she will take care of the Naomi problem. LeRae then scowls while telling Stratton that she can just relax. Cole then hypes Naomi vs. Candice LeRae for the next match of the night.

WWE United States Champion “The Mega Star” LA Knight is then shown walking backstage when Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis approaches him and asks, “What the hell was that?” Knight then tries to defend his action, but Aldis cuts him off and tells him he will face Andrade and Carmelo Hayes in a Triple Threat Match at Crown Jewel.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Singles Match.

The winner of the Singles Match, Naomi!

The handlers of the WWE Crown Jewel Championship are then shown, while Michael Cole says Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER will appear next.

Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes then makes his way down to the ring and WWE World Heavyweight Champion “The Ring General” GUNTHER follows. GUNTHER starts off by asking Rhodes what he wants to talk about and Rhodes says it’s fairly obvious what he wants to talk about. GUNTHER then says he wants to talk about Rhodes before he gets to that and it was unnecessary for Rhodes to bring up his daughter last week as their Champion vs. Champion Match at Crown Jewel is all about naming the first Crown Jewel Champion. GUNTHER then says unlike Rhodes’ reason for doing everything he does being his family, his is for himself. Rhodes then responds to GUNTHER and says he comes from a dramatic family, then asks GUNTHER where he was yesterday and the day before that. Rhodes then says he was in Las Vegas doing media for WrestleMania 41, while GUNTHER was at home sleeping. Rhodes then says while GUNTHER is World Heavyweight Champion, he’s missing the responsibility of being the champion. GUNTHER then gets defensive and says he tells higher ups no to their media request because he has the guts to say no. GUNTHER then says Rhodes is a gutless champion and that will always make Rhodes secondary to him. Rhodes then says he doesn’t see GUNTHER as “The Ring General” because he leads no one but himself. Rhodes then says he had the guts to make a name for himself outside of WWE, then attacks GUNTHER. Ludwig Kaiser then appears out of nowhere and nails Rhodes. GUNTHER and Kaiser then go after Rhodes, but Randy Orton makes his way down to the ring to even the odds. Orton then picks up the Undisputed WWE Championship and looks at it before giving it back to Cody. Cody’s music then plays, while GUNTHER and Kaiser stands on the stage.

Sabin then says they are always ready and will face them any place, any time. Solo then says since they came to Smackdown and want to make an impact, they can have a tag team title match on the spot. Aldis then steps in and says Shelley and Sabin fought, sacrificed and gave everything to the business for twenty years. Aldis then says he will be damned if they get their title shot when they are anything less than 100 percent. Shelley then cuts off Aldis and says they can have the match on the spot. Aldis then confirms it’s what both teams and the fans want and then calls for a referee.
