In a segment taped at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. on October 25, it was revealed that Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens has officially been added to the WWE Crown Jewel 2024 premium live event lineup in Riyadh next Saturday.
Previously, Nick Aldis had informed Orton that the match couldn’t be sanctioned due to orders “from above,” but now it’s confirmed and set to take place. It appears that they were able to figure this issue out.
WWE’s 2024 Crown Jewel event has several exciting matches already announced. One of the headliners will feature GUNTHER, Raw’s World Heavyweight Champion, facing off against Cody Rhodes, SmackDown’s Undisputed WWE Champion, in a singles match for the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Championship. Those two will have a face-to-face in Brooklyn this week.
In the women’s division, Raw’s Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan, will take on SmackDown’s WWE Women’s Champion, Nia Jax, in a singles match to determine the first-ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. Additionally, Seth “Freakin” Rollins will square off against Bronson Reed in another highly anticipated singles match.
