Maria Kanellis, who is currently a part of the AEW and ROH, recently revealed she is facing a significant health crisis. Last year, Kanellis even underwent successful thyroid surgery, and now it has been confirmed she underwent successful surgery.
Maria previously shared that she had requested tests for her adrenal glands and hormone levels six months ago due to troubling symptoms, but her insurance denied the request. She revealed that a mass was discovered during another test, prompting a CT scan to determine if it was on her kidney or adrenal gland. Kanellis then noted she was set to undergo a Retroperitoneoscopic Adrenalectomy treatment.
Maria’s surgery, scheduled for October, took place as planned. On October 24, her husband Mike Bennett took to Twitter and confirmed that the procedure went smoothly. Maria is expected to stay overnight in the hospital for observation and should be discharged the following day. Bennett expressed gratitude to everyone who offered support, celebrating Maria’s strength and resilience.
”Maria’s surgery went well. She is staying overnight at the hospital for observation and should be released tomorrow. My wife is a badass. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. We love y’all so very much.”
Maria Kanellis also previously stated that she was unsure if she would continue working in AEW. Nonetheless, fans are glad to know that her surgery went well, so we’ll have to see what she will decide for herself in the future.
