Maria Kanellis, a star in both AEW and ROH, has shared a personal update following her recent surgery. After undergoing a Retroperitoneoscopic Adrenalectomy on October 24, Kanellis revealed new details about her recovery and next steps.

Kanellis initially faced challenges when her request for tests on her adrenal glands and hormone levels was denied by insurance. However, during further examinations, doctors discovered a mass, leading to the surgery to determine if it was located on her kidney or adrenal gland.

Her husband, Mike Bennett, previously announced that the procedure went smoothly, expressing pride in Maria’s strength:

“Maria’s surgery went well. She is staying overnight at the hospital for observation and should be released tomorrow. My wife is a badass. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. We love y’all so very much.”

In a recent Twitter/X post, Maria provided a more detailed update on her recovery:

“Hello all, I am still in the hospital. The surgery went well and my bloodwork looks good. We should have the biopsy results in 7-10 days to figure out exactly what the mass was. I like to call the mass Arnold. I may stay overnight one more night because I have nausea and a headache when standing which may be blood pressure related or something else. Everyone at Rush has been amazing and so kind.”

Maria’s recovery seems to be progressing well, though she continues to experience some side effects, such as nausea and headaches, which could be linked to blood pressure issues. She will remain in the hospital a bit longer for further monitoring and plans to await the biopsy results within a week to learn more about the nature of the mass.

It remains unclear if Maria Kanellis will continue her wrestling career in AEW or ROH, as she had previously expressed uncertainty about her future. For now, fans are just relieved to hear that her surgery was successful and that she is in good hands during her recovery.
