WWE has seen many great feuds in the company’s history. Some of them even resulted in best of 7 series outings. Although Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes wasn’t originally slated to be a best of 7 series, that’s how it ended up, and LA Knight was in the thick of it.

Both Carmelo Hayes and Andrade have something to prove in WWE. Hayes is trying to earn a top spot on the WWE main roster after his NXT call-up after a run that saw him hold the NXT Title on two occasions.

Andrade, who is also a former NXT Champion, returned to WWE after a lackluster outing in AEW. That mid-grade tenure in Tony Khan’s company wasn’t Andrade’s fault at all, but the booking around El Idolo gave him very little to work with.

During the October 18 WWE SmackDown, it was announced that LA Knight would be the special referee for Andrade and Carmelo Hayes’s seventh match during the October 25 WWE SmackDown. That match did not end the way anyone expected.

In the end, after he got very frustrated by getting hit a couple of times, LA Knight called for the bell and declared Carmelo vs Andrade a no-contest. That didn’t leave the Brooklyn fans very happy. Later on, Nick Aldis broke LA Knight’s bubble as he revealed that he will defend the US Title against both Carmelo Hayes and Andrade at Crown Jewel on November 2. We will have to see if LA Knight is able to retain his title.

The Crown Jewel event is coming together, as they added a couple matches to the card this week. Seth “Freakin” Rollins takes on Bronson Reed, while Kevin Owens clashes with Randy Orton. Additionally, Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair face Damage CTRL, Piper Niven & Chelsea Green, and Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson in a multi-team match with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line.

Also, GUNTHER, RAW’s World Heavyweight Champion, faces Cody Rhodes, SmackDown’s Undisputed WWE Champion, for the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Championship. Liv Morgan and Nia Jax will battle for the first-ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
