Dominik Mysterio Claims Rey Mysterio Wasn’t Worthy of WWE Hall of Fame Induction

Dominik Mysterio has become one of WWE’s top bad guys over the past few years, and it’s not hard to understand why. Fans really dislike him, especially because he has a problem with his father, Rey Mysterio. In fact, Dominik is even claiming that Rey didn’t deserve his Hall of Fame induction.

After a career spanning over three decades, the Legendary Luchador Rey Mysterio was honored during WrestleMania 39 weekend for his contributions, notably for reviving the Latino World Order. However, Dominik Mysterio walked out on Rey Mysterio’s WWE Hall of Fame speech and ended up calling his father a deadbeat dad after his horrible actions.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Dominik Mysterio was asked about Rey Mysterio being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Dominik Mysterio claimed that his father Rey Mysterio did not deserve his induction into the Hall of Fame and then pretended to not acknowledge that he walked out on his father’s induction speech. He believes that it took a long time for Rey to receive this honor and that it should have come later, after a significant event like losing to Dominik and giving up his mask.

“He’s in the Hall of Fame now, okay, after what—30 years? Took him long enough, right? I still don’t think he was worthy of it.

Did I walk out? Yeah, yeah, I did walk out of his induction. It was necessary, you know. Now that you bring it up, I do remember walking out. I think it was because I felt some type of way. I didn’t believe he deserved to be in the Hall of Fame. At least, not yet. Once he loses to me and gives up his mask, then maybe. But I have no say in it.”

Dominik Mysterio also set the terms for considering Rey Mysterio as his father once again. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Dominik and Rey Mysterio will end up feuding again in the future, as it’s inevitable somewhere down the line.
