Cora Jade, fresh off her return to WWE NXT on October 1, has nothing but admiration for her tag team partner Roxanne Perez. Jade made her comeback by assisting Perez during her match against Giulia, and now the two are set to join forces at NXT Halloween Havoc, where they will face Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer in tag action.

Speaking with David Shoemaker and Kazeem Famuyide on The Masked Man Show, Jade opened up about her friendship with Perez and praised her rise in WWE.

“It sucks being out for that long and watching, it seems like everyone is kind of just passing you by… If it was going to anybody, I’m so glad it was her.”

Jade emphasized the similarities between her own journey and that of Perez, highlighting that both were fans of AJ Lee, started their wrestling careers at a young age, and fought through the independent circuit to reach WWE.

Jade was particularly complimentary of Perez’s skill set, citing her charisma, in-ring talent, and passion as qualities that make her stand out

“She’s incredible, she can wrestle incredibly, she can speak incredibly, she looks great. She’s a star through and through… She’s the best wrestler in the world right now.”

Their friendship, born from similar struggles and aspirations, seems to have only grown stronger. Heading into Halloween Havoc, Jade appears excited to stand beside Perez as they aim to topple Giulia and Vaquer in what promises to be an intense contest.

Cora Jade’s words demonstrate the high regard she has for Perez, positioning the young star as someone poised for continued success in WWE. As they head into Halloween Havoc, fans are eager to see if this partnership can lead them to victory and cement their status as NXT’s rising stars.
