Cody Rhodes Confident in Lilian Garcia Taking Over for Samantha Irvin

Lilian Garcia returned to RAW this week as a full-time announcer after more than eight years away, making an unexpected comeback that delighted fans. Cody Rhodes has now expressed his support for Garcia, making it clear that he believes she is the perfect replacement for Samantha Irvin.

On the October 21 episode of WWE RAW, Lilian Garcia made her return as the ring announcer, taking on the role she previously held for many years. Her comeback followed the recent departure of Samantha Irvin, creating speculation about who would fill the spot. 

WWE confirmed Garcia’s return when they opened the show by reintroducing her. Although she made a few botches during her first announcement, fans were still happy to see her.

While speaking to The Schmo, Cody Rhodes talked about Lilian Garcia returning to WWE as an announcer. The American Nightmare made it clear that he believes Garcia is the perfect replacement for Samantha Irvin.

“Lilian Garcia is stepping back again. Lilian, beloved by WWE fans for so many years, is the perfect person to kind of take the baton and carry it for us.”

We have also reported that Lilian Garcia may not be a permanent replacement for Samantha Irvin. Fans are definitely happy to have Lilian Garcia back as an announcer for the first time since 2016. Her return proves that anything can happen in wrestling, so we’ll have to see if she will truly live up to all expectations in the coming weeks.
