Samantha Irvin’s sudden exit from WWE right before this week’s Monday Night RAW took the pro wrestling community by surprise, as her departure was unexpected. With her exit now confirmed, there’s also clarification regarding whether she can retain her name.

Samantha Irvin left WWE at a time when she was enjoying significant popularity, known for her unique and memorable introductions for stars like GUNTHER and Chelsea Green. Despite her growing fame, Irvin decided it was the right moment to leave the company.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that WWE owns the name Samantha Irvin. Therefore, she cannot use that name anymore and will have to go by her real name, Samantha Johnson.

We have also reported that there were numerous factors that led to Samantha Irvin’s exit from WWE, notably issues with schedules but the company is open to having her return for cameo appearances in the future. It is to be noted that Irvin ultimately wants to focus on her music career now, so it makes sense she will simply use her real-life name going forward. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see if she will find success as a musician soon enough.
