AEW has seen several stars come through the company, each departing for different reasons. Many fans hoped certain wrestlers would become the foundation of the promotion, and Joey Janela’s exit left his fans particularly disappointed.

Although Joey Janela is no longer with AEW, he still keeps an eye on what’s happening there. Recently, he noticed a claim that AEW forced a fan to turn their JD From New York t-shirt inside out. However, Janela called out the claim as false.

“They don’t make fans take off the famous Jim Cornette face t-shirts, they certainly aren’t making a fan take off a JD FROM NY shirt. Lmfaoooo,” Janela said.

JD From New York is known to be a controversial figure, often stirring up reactions with his comments. However, it turns out the story about AEW not allowing a fan to wear his merchandise is untrue.

Security Sam, a staff member, chimed in to support Janela’s statement, confirming that the incident never happened. “Hey @JANELABABY, you’re about to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. This didn’t happen! But you already knew that,” Sam said.

We’ll have to wait and see what kind of rumors surface about AEW next. Controversies will likely continue, as they always do, but for now, it’s clear AEW isn’t concerned about JD From New York merchandise. Fans can feel free to wear his shirts at future shows, daring Tony Khan to take action.

What do you think about AEW’s stance on fan attire? Should wrestling promotions allow any merchandise at their events, or are there cases where limits should apply? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
