Dominik Mysterio Wants Rey Mysterio to Retire: “He’s Old and Washed”

Dominik Mysterio continues his relentless verbal attacks on his father, Rey Mysterio, extending their heated real-life and in-ring feud.

During a recent interview with The Schmo, Dominik didn’t hold back, insisting that his father should hang up his boots for good.

“I want him to retire. I’ve been telling his old ass he’s got to go. He’s old, he’s washed. He’s still hiding behind that ugly mask. He’s ugly and that’s why he’s hiding behind that mask. He needs to retire, he needs to go home. Just let me do what I do best and that’s put the Mysterio name on my back and carry it to places it’s never been before,” Dominik stated.

This isn’t the first time Dominik has taken aim at Rey, with their bitter rivalry dating back to Clash at the Castle 2022, where Dominik betrayed his father. Despite losing to Rey at WrestleMania 39, Dominik doubled down on his resentment, aligning with the Judgment Day faction and building his character as a rebellious son determined to overshadow his father’s legacy.

Dominik is now looking to cement his name in WWE on his own terms. He’s scheduled to compete on the October 28 episode of WWE Raw, promising to further build on the Mysterio name — without his father in the picture.
