The legendary Mike Tyson will step back into the ring on November 15, 2024, facing social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul. This match marks Tyson’s return to boxing after his 2020 exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr., which ended in a split draw.

In an interesting twist, Bobby Lashley recently disclosed that he was also offered a fight against Tyson. Speaking during a virtual K&S WrestleFest signing, Lashley explained how the opportunity came about:

“I was offered a Mike Tyson fight also. I was offered Mike Tyson several months back. I was like, ‘Hmm, that would be a good fight.’ People asked me the same question, ‘Can I beat Mike Tyson?’ I’m not going to say, ‘Oh yeah, I can beat Mike Tyson,’ but I would like to do the fight. That’s what it’s all about to me.”

Lashley emphasized that, as a competitor, he’s open to fights if they make sense, and this one was certainly appealing. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Lashley discussed fighting Tyson. In August 2022, he mentioned that he had previously been approached for a similar opportunity.

Now a free agent following his WWE departure in August 2024, Lashley also reflected on his future in wrestling during the same signing. With his wrestling career still in flux, it seems Lashley is considering various combat sports opportunities — and taking a fight with Tyson could have been a thrilling move.
