Former WWE Champion Big E has been sidelined for over a year due to a serious neck injury, and while his return to the ring is still uncertain, he is set to appear in an upcoming Peacock show.

Big E has been out of action since the March 11, 2022, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where he suffered a severe neck injury during a tag team match against Ridge Holland and Sheamus. The injury occurred when Big E took a belly-to-belly suplex from Holland outside the ring, but he landed awkwardly on his head and neck, resulting in fractures to his C1 and C6 vertebrae. Despite the severity of the injury, surgery was fortunately not required, but the lengthy recovery process has raised uncertainty about his return to the ring.

Since his injury, Big E has continued to be a regular presence on WWE television, making appearances at various events and remaining active in the media. Fans are always happy to see him in any capacity, showing their ongoing support as he goes through his recovery.

A brand new series titled Laid featuring Big E will premiere this year on Peacock. The platform has announced that all eight episodes will be available for streaming starting Thursday, December 19. Aside from Big E, other key guest stars will include Andre Hyland, Olivia Holt, David Denman, Finneas O’Connell, Chloe Fineman and John Early.
