Tony D’Angelo did the impossible and defeated Oba Femi to become the NXT North American Champion. The two are set to battle again at NXT Halloween Havoc and it appears a special condition has been set for the match.
On the October 22nd episode of WWE NXT, Femi attacked Luca Crusifino with a brutal beatdown, while Adriana Rizzo was found assaulted backstage. Naturally, fans realized just how serious Femi and D’Angelo’s feud had become.
NXT General Manager Ava later posted on Twitter, revealing that D’Angelo had requested that the upcoming title match be decided by pinfall, with tables, ladders, and chairs allowed as weapons. Ava approved the request, setting up the intense match.
”. @TonyDangeloWWE requested the North American Championship Table, Ladders and Scares Match this Sunday at Halloween Havoc be decided by pinfall – with tables, ladders and chairs legal to use as weapons. After the events of tonight & Oba’s actions …request granted”
We will have to wait and see how WWE will book Oba Femi and Tony D’Angelo match at Halloween Havoc this week, as there is undoubtedly a lot of hype for good reason. After all, fans feel D’Angelo should ultimately retain the title in what promises to be a very physical match.
